Assassination Of Former Mesa State Representative Joseph Cooke

August 2, 2026 - On August 2, 2026, Former Mesa State Representative Joseph Cooke was found shot dead in his apartment. Initial reports believed it to be an suicide but evidence quickly unfolded revealing that the gunshot wounds were not self inflicted. 

Alden County Sheriff's Deputies reported to Federal Authorities that he was shot and killed in what is now considered an assassination of a government official. We are searching for leads and anyone that has any information being asked to submit a tip at tips@fcis.jesstopia.org
